What are personal data?

Personal identification number, name, address, email, phone are examples of personal data. Pictures, videos, and encrypted data are also considered personal data.

Service and support

When you contact our staff via email, phone, online, or in person, we collect personal data such as name, postal address, phone number, email address, and other contact information. If you are a customer, we record your purchases to offer relevant service and support. The legal basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in providing quality service and support. In our CRM and order system, we process this data to provide the best possible service. You can withdraw your consent regarding the data we have stored in our systems at any time.

Service providers

Ackurat uses external services, such as Mailchimp, when we send out newsletters via email. For email dispatches, we use address lists exported from our ERP system. The address lists are stored on the server for 1 year. Through Mailchimp, we track activities related to these emails, such as whether recipients have opened them or clicked on links in the messages. We analyze this data to understand how engaging our emails are. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the link at the bottom of our emails.

The legal basis for processing this data for marketing purposes is our legitimate interest in only sending emails to people who have given their consent. We may share personal data about you with others if we have your valid consent, to comply with a valid subpoena, legal order, court order, legal process, or other legal obligation, to enforce any of our terms or conditions, or to the extent necessary to seek legal redress or defend against legal claims. We may share your personal data with an affiliate or a third party. This may happen in the event of reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, transfer, or other disposal. If this happens, we will ensure that the other company processes your data in the same way we do, according to our rules. We will not notify you of this, but we always comply with applicable laws and consent requirements.
