The toolmaker who likes problem-solving

Tobias Ribecker is interested in sports and loves football, tennis, and padel. He follows the football team IFK Göteborg and Frölunda in ice hockey. And if he’s not diving into a non-fiction book or engrossed in fiction, he relaxes in front of an action or comedy film. Today, he works as a toolmaker at Ackurat, where he uses his knowledge and creativity to help production with challenges. He really appreciates that he has been able to develop within the company.

Thoughtful tools for smoother production

Tobias works today as a toolmaker at Ackurat, where he produces new tool inserts for mother moulds and performs maintenance on existing tools according to service reports. At his workplace, he has a lot of contact with the product development department, where they discuss, among other things, the most suitable way to produce the product in regards to the manufacture of inserts and tools.

It’s a very varied job! You have to think and challenge yourself to improve and simplify tools or to develop new creative tool solutions.

The opportunity to develop and gain more experience

Tobias began his career at Ackurat as an operator in 2014, where he worked for a little more than four years before becoming an assembly setter for screw machines for a couple of years. The reason he ended up at Ackurat was no more complicated than that there was a vacant job that sounded interesting and that he applied for.

Since Tobias was skilled and interested in his work, he was offered by Ackurat to take a course to become a toolmaker. Tobias took the chance, and after graduating in 2021, he got the opportunity to start working as a toolmaker. He looks back and talks about how fun it was to put theory into practice. He really enjoys his job and his colleagues at Ackurat.

The absolute best part of my time at Ackurat so far is the training! Getting the opportunity to develop within the company is really a plus.
